Grass-Fed and Finished Beef

We believe that cattle belong on grass. Their ability to transform pasture into nourishing food is one of nature's most remarkable gifts, and we strive to raise them in a way that honors both the animal and the land. We are a grass-fed and finished beef operation, raising cattle on a diet made up entirely of pasture, locally grown alfalfa, and fermented grass hay. We never feed grain because we believe cattle thrive best on the forage they were designed to eat.

Unlike a cow-calf operation, we are a finishing farm. Our calves are born on neighboring ranches and come to us for the final six months to a year of their lives. During that time, they live as a herd, grazing our pastures and growing slowly at their natural pace.

Our cattle spend the growing season rotationally grazing more than 20 acres of pasture. Those same fields are intentionally rested for nearly half the year, allowing grasses to recover, roots to deepen, and soil biology to flourish before the cycle begins again. This balance between grazing and rest creates healthier pastures, healthier animals, and a healthier farm.

For us, raising grass-fed beef is about more than producing exceptional meat. It is about caring for the entire landscape. Well-managed grazing helps build soil, improve water infiltration, encourage diverse plant life, and strengthen the resilience of the land for years to come.

The result is beef with a clean, rich flavor that reflects the pastures where it was raised. Every animal is cared for with patience and respect, and every cut tells the story of healthy grass, healthy cattle, and thoughtful stewardship.

Chicken

Our chickens spend every day the way we believe chickens were designed to live, out on pasture with fresh air, sunshine, and new ground to explore. Their shelters are moved daily, giving them fresh grass, healthy soil to scratch and peck through, and a constantly changing environment that keeps both the birds and the land healthy. This daily rotation distributes nutrients across our pastures while allowing the ground behind them time to recover.

Our flock is fed a locally milled, non-GMO, no-corn, no-soy feed produced here in the Spokane area. Combined with life on pasture, this thoughtful diet produces healthy birds and incredibly flavorful meat.

These chickens know nothing but a good life. They are raised with care from the day they arrive until they are harvested here on the farm and offered whole to our customers. We believe that if we ask an animal to nourish our family and yours, it deserves a life filled with respect, good stewardship, and the opportunity to live according to its nature.

The result is a chicken we are genuinely proud to share. Rich in flavor, packed with nutrition, and typically finishing between six and eight pounds, these birds have become a favorite for families who value food raised with intention from beginning to end.

Grass-Fed Katahdin Lamb

Sheep have always held a special place here on the farm. Their quiet nature, their gentle stewardship of the land, and the remarkable quality of the meat they provide make them one of our favorite animals to raise.
Our flock is made up entirely of Katahdin sheep, a hair sheep breed known for producing exceptionally mild, tender lamb without the heavy flavor many people associate with lamb. We chose Katahdins because they thrive on pasture, naturally shed their coats each spring, and require less intervention than wool breeds, allowing us to focus on raising healthy animals in a low-stress environment.
Every lamb is born here on our farm and remains with its mother for six to eight months. We believe that allowing lambs to nurse, grow, and mature alongside their mothers creates healthier animals while honoring the natural rhythms of the flock.
Our lamb is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished because we believe that is exactly how sheep were designed to thrive. Throughout the grazing season they are moved regularly onto fresh pasture through intentional rotational grazing. During the winter months, when our pastures are resting beneath the snow, they are fed locally grown triticale and alfalfa hay produced here in the Spokane region.
Of all the livestock we raise, we believe sheep are among the most sustainable. Their light footprint, combined with thoughtful rotational grazing, allows them to nourish the land as much as they are nourished by it. Well-managed sheep improve pasture health, build soil fertility, and help create resilient grasslands that support the entire ecosystem. For us, lamb is more than a beautiful source of protein. It is a reflection of what farming can look like when animals, land, and people are cared for together. Every lamb is raised with patience, respect, and gratitude, resulting in meat that is clean, tender, and deeply connected to the place where it was grown.

Pasture-Raised Pork

We believe really good pork begins long before it reaches the kitchen. It starts with healthy animals, thoughtful breeding, and raising pigs in a way that allows them to do what pigs were created to do.
Our pigs are a cross between heritage breed sows and a standard commercial boar. We have intentionally selected this combination because it gives us what we think is the perfect balance—beautiful marbling, flavorful bacon, and just enough creamy lard to create pork that stays moist, rich, and deeply satisfying. It is the kind of pork that reminds us what pork used to taste like.
Our pigs spend their lives outdoors on pasture where they have room to root, forage, and express their natural instincts. They are fed a non-GMO, no-corn, no-soy ration that we supplement with fresh organic produce from a local grocery partner. The variety in their diet, combined with plenty of fresh air and sunshine, contributes to healthy animals and exceptional meat. But our pigs are more than a source of delicious protein, they are important members of our farming system.

Their rooting helps prepare new garden spaces, incorporate organic matter into the soil, and revitalize areas of the farm that need renewal. They are partners in the work of caring for this land.
We raise every pig with respect and gratitude, believing that honoring the life of the animal means stewarding it well from beginning to end. The result is pork that reflects not only careful breeding and good feed, but a farming philosophy centered on health, stewardship, and abundance.
